AGAPENTINE COUPLES CELEBRATION BANQUET:

Every year, THE AGAPENTINE BANQUET is celebrated on the last Saturday of March.

Behind Agapentine are three major objectives:

1. To present Christ as a reconciling factor in marriages/spouses and families through
        the testimonies of those who made Christ the central figure in their marriages.
2.  Honoring and exposing those who honor marriage vows because of the fear of the Lord.  They are honored as THE COUPLE OF THE YEAR, with a runner-up. We have done this for five years.
3. To present Christians with a spiritual alternative to secular valentine.  Igniting an atmosphere of romance for married christians to renew their courtship in a holistic manner and environment. Courtship is a MINISTRY.  It should not stop after "I do".

Agapentine 2009  is scheduled to hold on MARCH 28TH 2009, here in Arizona.

Profile of 2007 Couple:  Has been maried for fifteen years - both couple are RNS. The wife had an eleven hours brain surgery.  The doctors report to the husband was: "Sorry, no hope for her survival." The man went to God groining in prayers.  She is today the mother of his three children and a successful registered nurse.

Later on the husband had "Spinal Cord Surgery".  Doctor's verdict - He will never walk again.  "I faced the sun and called upon my God,"  testified the wife.  Today the man is our Associate Pastor walking without defect.

CURRENT COUPLE OF THE YEAR, 2008:  Have been married for thirty-two years without any child of their own, but have concentrated on parenting other people's children as and when invited to do so.Yet Pastor Tom Vasilow and his wife Danielle fall in love everyday with each other.

WANTED  -  COUPLE OF THE YEAR 2009.  Decision will be taken on March 28, 2009.

P/S:  Couple of the Year are not that Husband and Wife who did not have challenges and issues in their marriages.  But who have survived issues and challenges through Christ over a period of years.
